Avalon Minor Football is a non-profit organization committed to the development of youth through the sport of football. As an organization we rely on the dedication and commitment of our volunteers to act in the best interest of your players, the communities we serve and the sport. If you have questions/concerns regarding the actions or conduct of one of our representatives then please follow the process as outlined below.
We are an independent organization and all issues should be directed through the proper channels within Avalon Minor Football. All grievances will be taken seriously and decisions from the Avalon Minor Football executive will be in the best interest of the players to ensure that the environment we create, on and off the field, is one guided by safety, respect and teamwork. Avalon Minor Football thanks you for your continued support.
The Official Complaint Form is designed for members seeking formal resolution for concerns regarding harassment, abuse, inappropriate behavior, or other league-related grievances.
Important Guidelines Before Submitting
24-Hour Cooling-Off Period: To ensure submissions are thoughtful and constructive, all complaints must be submitted at least 24 hours after the incident occurred. Submissions sent prior to this period will not be accepted.
Review Process: Submitted forms are reviewed by the Avalon Minor Football Complaints Committee (comprising 3 board members) within 10 days of receipt. The committee evaluates the situation to determine appropriate corrective action or necessary escalation.
Next Steps & Appeals: Complainants will be notified of the outcome via email. If a matter is not resolved to your satisfaction, members retain the right to escalate the issue directly to Football Newfoundland and Labrador.
Key Information Required on the Form - When completing the submission, please ensure you provide:
Complainant Information: Full name, contact phone, and email address.
Nature of Complaint: Categorized as Harassment, Abuse, Inappropriate Behavior, or Other.
Incident Details: Specific names of any alleged perpetrators, locations, dates, and detailed description.
Witness Information: Contact details for up to two corroborating witnesses.
Required Acknowledgments: Confirmation that named parties/officials will be contacted regarding the matter and awareness of appeal rights to Football NL.
